“Religion that is pure and undefiled before God the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world.”

Our History
In 2004, a former resident of Nagpur, India and member of CenterPoint Church, Abraham Geevarghese, started a ministry there called GRACCI – an Christian orphanage for children in poverty. After moving to America, Abraham literally saved his pennies to purchase a building in the heart of Nagpur to serve as the children’s home. Since then, a small school has emerged for Prek-1st grade children, along with a food ministry for starving families. In addition, a church has been planted and people in the city and surrounding villages are hearing the good news of Jesus, led by Abraham’s brother, Pastor Philip Geevarghese. A plot of land is currently being developed, which will include a newly built church, and plans for a home for the elderly, a medical clinic, and a much larger school. God is at work in the CenterPoint of India, and we are excited to be a part of it!
CenterPoint's Involvement
We, at CenterPoint Church, have witnessed the realities of God’s work in Nagpur. In a country where only 2.3 percent of the population is Christian, the church is growing. So, we asked God, “What do you want us to do?” And he said, plant a church in Nagpur – the Heart of India – with GRACCI.
We believe that God’s presence is with us and that he goes before us. He’s already in Nagpur and we must obediently follow. This church will be a blessing to this community and the surrounding 25-30 villages. The opportunity is tremendous and as a church we are excited and committed.
In 2019, through an auction, private and corporate donors, and campus donations, we raised over $50,000 for a 2,500 square-foot church and parking area. Construction has been ongoing with delays due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Finally, our focus through this is: Be BIG! B-I-G stands for two things. “Believe in GRACCI” and “Believe in GOD”.
