We exist to see lives transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit as Christ becomes the CenterPoint of their hearts, homes, workplaces, community and world. In short – we are about seeing lives transformed from the CenterPoint out!
Our Vision
We seek to MULTIPLY!
Multiply Disciples – to point people to Jesus by building friendships, sowing seeds of faith in others, and helping them grow in their relationship with Him.
Multiply Leaders – to establish a spiritual coaching network, where new leaders are equipped by shadowing other leaders in ministry.
Multiply Groups – to grow disciples through a network of healthy, life-changing small group Bible studies and service opportunities on a ministry team.
Multiply Sites – to establish a network of campuses throughout the Columbus area geared to reach new people for Christ.

Our Story
CenterPoint Church began in 2002 when Pastor Dave and Vicki Jansen followed God’s call to Lewis Center, Ohio (on the north side of Columbus) to plant a church that would see lives transformed from the CenterPoint out, through a ministry that would be relevant, relational, responsive and real. For a year they gathered people around that vision and officially launched in the fall of 2003.
The body grew over the next four years while worshiping at the Quest Business Center in the Polaris area and starting various in-home Bible studies. In 2007, we moved into an office/warehouse facility, allowing the ministry to expand throughout the week. Two years later, we opened CenterPoint Childcare, a Christian daycare designed to offer families a well-rounded education for infants to preschoolers.
With the church established in the Lewis Center community, we sought God’s vision for their next steps. They sensed a call to multiply – to multiply disciples, leaders and groups on the way to multiplying more sites. This vision meant a significant shift from being one large congregation to becoming a network of smaller reproducing campuses. This led CenterPoint to launch its second campus in Westerville in the fall of 2011, led by Pastor Jon Fulton.
CenterPoint – now one church in two locations – continued to move forward in its multiplication vision when in 2014 Good Samaritan Church in Gahanna, Ohio (a suburb on the east side of Columbus) asked CenterPoint if we would like to take over their facility and start a new campus in their location. Believing this was God’s leading, we launched our third campus in the fall of 2015, led again by Pastor Dave Jansen.
A fourth campus – a Spanish speaking one – began when Pastor JR Zarate moved to Columbus in 2018 from Venezuela with his family. This campus is in Hilliard, a suburb on the west side of Columbus, and is reaching many Central and South American families for Christ.
CenterPoint’s first international campus came into existence about the same time in Nagpur, India, when CenterPoint rallied to build a church there out of an established orphanage and school called GRACCI, led by Pastor Philip Geevarghese.
Since the pandemic of 2020, our Westerville and Lewis Center campuses merged into one at our Lewis Center location, which was constructed and dedicated in 2018. Since then, we have also created a virtual campus for those who feel more comfortable connecting digitally.
Today, CenterPoint is still operating out of its multiplication vision, believing that God has called us to start ten campuses around Columbus and two worldwide, so that God may be glorified by more people who make Jesus the CenterPoint of their lives.
