Planting the Seeds of Women’s Ministry
“If therefore there is any encouragement in Christ, if there is any consolation of love, if there is any fellowship of the Spirit, if any affection and compassion, make my joy complete by being of the same mind, maintaining the same love, united in spirit, intent on one purpose.” Philippians 2:1-2
Secret Sister’s Ministry
“.. A word spoken at the right time – how good it is!” Proverbs 15:23
All women of CenterPoint Westerville are invited to participate in this ministry of caring and sharing with other sisters in Christ. Each participant will be given a ‘sister’ that you will need to pray for and encourage. It’s wonderful to have someone that prays for you daily, and is there to give you encouragement from time to time. We’ll be keeping our sisters a secret; so don’t let anyone know who you have!
What are the responsibilities of participating in this ministry?
*Know that it is a commitment. The lady you are assigned will be expecting you to uphold her in your prayers and she should be able to rely on you for encouragement.
*Pray daily for your sister.
*Be an encouragement to your sister. Write her cards or notes of encouragement and leave them for her in the Women’s Ministry Drop-Box.
*Remember your sister on special occasions. Birthdays, anniversaries, holidays.
*Keep it a secret! Don’t let anyone know whom you have. Spoil her, love her and serve.
*her from a distance to maintain the surprise.
*If you are unable to continue, contact Lori Meyer or Amy Fulton. If you find that you are unable to continue participating, let us know so that another ‘sister’ can be found
for the lady you were assigned.
To participate, fill out the form on the back of this letter and drop it in the Women’s Ministry box at the church by May 30. We will begin on June 1 and end with a holiday party and cookie & ornament exchange on December 13.
