What should I expect at CenterPoint? Well, for starters it will be modern, casual and relevant – a place where you’ll see the truths of the Bible intersect with your modern life. It will also be a highly relational ministry, designed to help you develop lasting friendships with people like yourself who are seeking God. Third, it will be a church that is truly responsive to the needs of our community and world – a place that is focused on helping others near and far. And lastly it will be real. No more pasted smiles, no more religious masks – we want this to be a place where everyone can come as they are and be real about their hurts, hang ups and habits.

• We sing a few songs with our praise band to glorify God together
• We share a few announcements
• We’ll take an offering (when the offering is taken for ministry expenses, don’t feel obligated to give. We’re not after your money (really!), we care about you. So feel free to let the offering plate pass you by and let us give and minister to you as our guest.)
• Pastor Dave will share an encouraging and relevant message
• We’ll sing another song and close with a blessing
The service will last about an hour – give or take a few minutes. You’ll also find that at CenterPoint we will utilize modern arts and technology in order to worship in a way that is current. We use videos, dramas, movie clips, interviews, dance and other visual arts to engage your heart and mind, all in an attempt to help you worship God in a meaningful way.
At CenterPoint you’ll experience modern music, led by our worship director and supported by our house band and our praise team. The music will be at times upbeat and celebratory and at other times reflective and worshipful. We’ll sing easy-to-learn, modern songs like you might hear locally on 104.9 The River, as well as modern arrangements of classic hymns like Amazing Grace.
At CenterPoint you’ll also hear messages focused on real-life issues. Based solidly on Scripture, they’re designed to answer your spiritual questions and give Biblical insights as to how to deal with the situations we all face in life. Pastor Dave Jansen is dedicated to making the truths of God’s Word understandable and applicable. You won’t be bored with long sermons that put you to sleep nor will you receive a guilt trip or pushed into making spiritual decisions you’re not ready to make. You will be challenged and uplifted with Biblical principles that will lead you and your family to a healthier life together centered around Christ.
KIDSTREET CLASSES: Preschoolers to 5th graders will be dismissed after the opening songs for their individual classes. Each quarter focuses on a different foundational truth about God and consists of fun, themed, age-appropriate lessons.
GRAPPLE: Middle Schoolers will also dismissed from worship after the opening songs on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of each month to grapple with important questions about God and living the Christian life.
STUDENT MINISTRY: We have Middle School and Senior High youth groups that meet after worship on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of each month, 11:30 am – 1 pm, in The Barn. Students gather for chocolate chip pancakes and a few games before splitting up to the Barn lofts for separate discussions. Fun events are also scheduled outside of Sunday morning. In addition we also host Young Life on Monday nights at 8 pm in our Red Barn, for Gahanna Lincoln students. Young Life Club is a wild and wacky night of fun for all GLHS students!
